Follow an example order
Go from a sample product to an order receipt and a customer library, without making a payment.
Before you begin
Browser exampleOpen the store example in a modern browser. No account, card details or email address are needed. The price is an example; no money is charged or email sent. The order and library stay in this browser tab for the current session.
Open the example checkout
Open the store example below and find the project guide. Select “Try example checkout” to see “Review example order”. The example covers one digital product.
Review the order
Check the product, format and example total. These details come from when you opened checkout. To leave without placing the order, select “Back to product”. You can then open checkout again.
Place the example order
Select “Place example order”. Wait for “Example order complete” and check the example order number EXAMPLE-001. This confirms an example record was saved in this tab, with no payment.
Open the customer library
Select “View customer library”, then “Open guide” to read the included content. Return with “Back to library” and select “View example receipt” to compare the receipt with the product details you reviewed.
What you should see
The completed example order gives access to the guide in the customer library. The receipt keeps the product and example amount from checkout, even if you later edit the product description.
If something goes wrong
To repeat the path, select “Reset example order”, read the confirmation, and confirm the reset. This removes the example order and its library access; website edits and form responses are kept. If a save fails, allow browser storage and retry; the previous order state is kept. If saved data cannot be read, reset the example order.
Technical detail
Checkout review, completed order and customer access share one browser session record. There is no payment provider or live order service in this demonstration. On an installed project, provider setup, permitted order management and delivery are separate responsibilities.
